Sony America has launched a new digital camera today - the 7.2-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-T30 that focuses on helping Joe Public take sharp images. The new model features Sony's new Super Steady Shot optical image stabilisation technology and along with a quick shutter release also offers users ISO settings up to 1000.
Sony has also added what it calls an extra line of defense with its Clear RAW noise reduction system, which kicks in to counter picture noise associated with high-sensitivity shooting.
Spec-wise, the new T30 features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens, a slide show option with music function, and a 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen.
The model is also the first T-series model to feature selectable color modes allowing you to choose natural mode for subtle color variations or vivid mode for more intense colors, depending on how you want to preserve the mood from your night on the town.
The camera has 58MB of internal memory as well as being able to be expanded up to two gigabytes, however, with an optional Memory Stick Duo media card.
The Cyber-shot DSC-T30 camera will be available next month for about $500 in America. We are still awaiting confirmation of a UK launch and price.
We will keep you posted. Cameras, Compact cameras, 7 megapixels, Sony, Digital cameras
