Nikon updates Capture NX2 and Camera Control Pro 2

On Windows and Mac

Nikon has issued software updates for two bits of software - Capture NX2 and Camera Control Pro 2. The former is a photo editor that lets you make adjustments to hue, saturation and brightness, and the latter, as the name suggests, lets you control your camera remotely.

Capture NX 2.2.3's improvements include support for RAW images captured on the D3S, correction for GPS metadata saved in JPEG formats, flash compensation values being displayed for images captured using Advanced Wireless Lighting, and a fix for the bug where comments added to pictures by third party apps could crash the app.

Camera Control Pro 2.7.0 gets D3S support, the ability to capture images on the D3S simultaneously to a memory card inserted in the camera, and compatibility with 32 and 64-bit versions of both Windows 7 and Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.5.8 and 10.6.1. In 64-bit editions of Windows, however, the software will operate as a 32-bit application.

You can grab the Capture NX2 update for Windows and Mac, or the Camera Control Pro update for Windows and Mac, by clicking those links.
