Firebox is offering a soft toy with a difference with the introduction of the plush "Gentle Giraffe" that comes with a removable audio player with soothing sounds.

Offering four soundtracks, there's "Play", described as "where Gentle Giraffe sings along to the rhythm of native tribal music like Paul Simon with a long neck", "Relax", on the theme of a safari trail, "Calm", an African stream and "Sleep", boasting the "mellow susurration of a waterfall".

The tracks play on a button press, there's volume adjustment and also a timer so the Gentle Giraffe can be programmed to turn off after 23 or 45 minutes.

Measuring 50 by 14 by 12.5cm, the Gentle Giraffe takes two AA batteries and is on sale now for £29.99.
