Aimed at the multimedia market

Klipsch has announced the launch of its ProMedia Ultra 2.0 speakers, apparently created for consumers "who want superior, full-range multimedia sound quality but do not want to give up the space or run the cables required for a subwoofer".

Klipsch informs us this speaker system works with iPods, other MP3 players, portable audio/video devices such as televisions, CD and DVD players, as well as laptop and desktop computers.

The ProMedia 2.0 offers the ability to simultaneously feed an audio signal (via 3.5mm jacks) from a laptop or PC and an MP3 player to the speakers for mixed sound playback.

Made up of two magnetically-shielded satellite speakers, each equipped with a 15W power amplifier while the control speaker hosts a bass level control along with the main volume, a headphone jack and auxiliary input jack for convenience.

Priced at £119 a pair, the ProMedia Ultra 2.0 is available now from www.klipsch.co.uk, www.amazon.co.uk and other retailers.
