Vodafone to give away mobile internet on free Friday

No charge for going online on your handset on the 27th

In an effort to "launch the Christmas countdown" with 28 shopping days until the big day, Vodafone has announced it is to give away free mobile internet to all its consumer customers this Friday.

On 27 November Vodafoners "will be able to check out where their friends are kicking off Christmas on Facebook, stay in touch with their webmail, bid and buy Christmas items on eBay and Amazon, book a last minute Christmas getaway or find a Christmas date on Dating Direct all for free".

The free-ness is open to both pay as you go and pay monthly customers on consumer price plans with those that usually "pay per day" not having to and those with a data pack not having the day's browsing taken from their monthly limit.
