Apple speeds up PowerBook range

Apple today has announced an update to its PowerBook range of laptops. Both the 15-inch and the 17-inch now offer up to a 1.5Ghz PowerPC G4 processor as well as 128Mb ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card. The 12-inch has also had a speed increase supporting speeds up to 1.33Ghz. as well as offering a bigger 60Gb hard drive.

All three models now include an AirPort Extreme Wireless-G card as standard and the SuperDrive models have an increase to 4x for burning CD's and DVD's.

All new Powerbooks will include iLife 04 and Mac 0S 10.3
