While we doubt Apple's voiceover guy will be highlighting this offering in any forthcoming advert ("you want your iPhone to blow? There's an app for that) the Blower - Real Air app appears to do just that.

By abusing the phone's speaker by producing low frequencies it appears that the app can create a tiny stream of air from the speaker - enough at least to blow out birthday candles - which is a pretty impressive trick, although not quite magic.

It's no Airblade, granted, but does go some way to show what a clever mind can come up with - even if the ultimate result falls somewhat flat in the land of pointless.
