LightSleeper launches for insomniacs

Staring-at-the-ceiling solution for those that can't sleep

LightSleeper launches for insomniacs

16 November 2009 17:13 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

A new gadget has launched to help insomniacs get some sleep. "LightSleeper", described as a "bedside electronic sleep aid", offers a tech alternative to counting sheep.

LightSleeper projects a light onto the ceiling in a controlled, circular motion with the theory being that following it with your eyes encourages the mind to relax into a good night's sleep.

The device switches off automatically after 30 minutes and can be reactivated by tapping it.

The drug-free, self-help solution has been designed by a UK student who suffered from insomnia, and is on sale from www.lightsleeper.co.uk priced at £125 and will soon be on sale in Boots.
