Today's website of the day is snopes.com a website that dispels all those urban myths and legends. Or does it…?

We've all heard the one about the friend of a friend of a friend's babysitter's, uncle's next-door neighbour's daughter who was saved from certain death at the hands of a crazed axe murderer in the back of her car by a petrol pump attendant. Snopes will tell you if it's true (it's not, incidentally).

Lifting the lid on all those tall stories and old wives tales, this is a site that will keep you occupied for hours. A Pocket-Lint favourite is the one about some Japanese software that replaces Microsoft error messages with haiku poetry. (And that's not true either!)
