Super wide-angle lens for indoor shooting

Sigma has announced the 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM.

The super wide-angle lens has a maximum aperture of F3.5 throughout the entire zoom range making it a good choice for indoor shooting, and has a wide angle of view from 102.4 degrees.

Two "Extraordinary Low Dispersion" glass elements and one "Special Low Dispersion" glass element provide correction of colour aberrations, while four aspherical lenses provide correction for distortion.

The "Super Multi-Layer" coating reduces flare and ghosting, and the inclusion of hyper sonic motor technology enables quiet, high-speed auto focus, as well as manual focusing capability.

This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.6. It will also come with a Petal-type hood, to help reduce internal reflection.

There's no word on pricing or availability as yet but we'll keep you updated.
