The Apple Store in Regent Street, London has announced a whole host of film and photography events at its store throughout April that are free for the public to attend.

Firstly on 7 April, Apple will be hosting an evening of BOOM! events. BOOM! is a new film-making and volunteering project that challenges young people to make films about their passions and concerns and use them to make a difference within their community.

Rhys Williams, one of the film-makers who entered a recent BOOM! competition challenging entrants to create a music video for Jack Savoretti's song Soldier's Eyes, will be playing his film at the event. Savoretti himself will also be there singing the song live and talking about the competition.

Following the screening and performance, the first BOOM! Awards will also take place, honouring the work of the volunteers and film-makers involved in the project.

Next up on 23 April you'll be able to see the latest in short films and music videos at a Future Shorts screening, which will include Q&As with top directors and other "special surprises".

Rounding off the month on 30 April, visitors to the Apple Store will be able to learn more about the award-winning hf2 headset exclusive to Apple, that combines noise-isolation technology, industry-leading fidelity and an in-line microphone for voice calls.
