First in the company's line of projector accessories

Epson has launched the ELP DC-06 document camera, set to be the first in a new range of accessories from the company, designed to work alongside projectors.

Aimed at classroom and training environments, the DC-06 is a small device weighing less than 1kg, which only requires a USB cable when used with one of Epson's new projectors (namely EB-85, EB-825 and EB-826W). Once hooked up, it enables the presentation of documents without the need of a computer or separate power supply.

If you don't have one of these, it can also be used with other projectors, but this will require the use of a computer - but still no power supply.

The camera head has both vertical and horizontal image rotation, allowing users to capture a whiteboard, 3D objects or flat pages easily, in 2-megapixel resolution. It also features a 4x digital zoom to allow users to enlarge images up to four times.

The document camera is easy to work, and with a quick set-up thanks to an instant power on/off function, you'll be able to get to grips with it straight away.

The ELP DC-06 will be available in April with a price tag of £300.
