Breeze Systems has announced the NKRemote 1.0, Windows based software that allows photographers to control Nikon DSLR cameras from a PC.

Breeze Systems have previously created similar software for Canon cameras, and NKRemote 1.0 is the first full release of the software for Nikon DSLR cameras. It currently supports the Nikon D3, D700, D300, D90 and D200.

With NKRemote 1.0, photographers will be able to display live images on the PC screen, autofocus and manually focus from their computer, as well use a comprehensive time lapse control.

The large preview image optionally displays flashing highlights to indicate over-exposed areas, grid overlay and crop marks to assist accurate alignment, black and white images and focus point overlay.

NKRemote 1.0 can also run as photo booth software for events.

The software is available from Breeze Systems' website now for $95, and includes a year's free upgrades. To try before you buy, you can also download a free 15-day demo of NKRemote 1.0 from the website as well.

Unfortunately the software is currently only compatible with Windows, but we'll keep you updated on any news of Mac versions.
