Kodak has released the world's first 7.6-inch OLED photo frame, with the rather steep price tag of $1000.Thinner than a regular LCD screen thanks to it not needing a backlight, we got our hands on it in October at IFA and noted that it made mincemeat of other frames on the market, creating "crisp" 800 x 480 pixel images and featuring a 30,000:1 contrast ratio.
Its wireless connectivity allows you to connect to Flickr and Kodak's photo sharing service to download photos, or alternatively sync the frame to your PC to transfer photos that way instead.
This latter option is unavailable for Mac computers however, so Mac users will have to use a USB stick or SD card to get their images on to the frame. There is 2GB of internal memory you'll be able to use up before you'll have to resort to SD cards to increase the capacity.
The frame itself features touch-sensitive controls, and also features audio-in and audio-out jacks for musical slideshows.
The frame is currently available on the Kodak US site for $999.95 (£680), with further distribution details to be announced "soon". Cameras
