A 16GB microSD and two regular SDHCs

27 November 2008 16:45 GMT / By Verity Burns

Toshiba has announced three new additions to its memory card line-up with the launch of the 8GB and 16GB SDHC cards, and the 16GB microSDHC card.

The two new SDHC cards support class 6 ultra fast read/write speed, featuring a maximum write speed of 20MB per second. This allows for continuous shooting of still images and recording of video at high performance.

The 16GB microSDHC card provides a large storage solution for devices like mobile phones that are now needing more and more storage for things like photos, music and videos.

Of course, the new microSDHC can be used with an adapter that allows it to be used in SDHC slots as well.

Mass production of the new SDHC cards will start in December, with production of the new microSDHC is expected to start in January 2009.
