Sigma announces firmware update for DP1

Version 2.00 makes two minor improvements

Sigma has announced a firmware update for its DP1 camera, which creates two minor improvements to the compact.

Version 2.00 will mean it is now possible to allocate different functions to each of the Digital Zoom buttons.

It also means that when the image is magnified in the review display, the magnification ratio will appear.

The firmware is necessary to anyone with a version less than 2.00, and will also update you with improvements from any previous firmware versions you may have missed.

To check your firmware version, turn your camera on and press the menu/ok button on the back to open up the settings menu. Select the Firmware menu and then Current Version.

If the version displayed is 1.04 or lower, you can download the update from the Sigma website. All the details on how to install it are also on the website.
