Joby launches Gorillapod Focus tripod

Can support up to 5kg of kit

Joby Inc. has announced the Gorillapod Focus, a bendable tripod engineered to support DSLR cameras with larger telephoto lenses, and digital video cameras.

Designed with professionals and motivated amateurs in mind,
the Gorillapod Focus is apparently the biggest, strongest Gorillapod yet and is the fifth addition to the Gorillapod family.

The Gorillapod Focus provides the stability of a standard tripod without the size and weigh of one. It only weighs 500g, but can support around 5kg of kit.

However, probably the biggest advantage to the tripod is its flexibility to be bent, twisted and moved to cling to whatever you want it to. Exactly what the Gorillapod tripods have made their name from.

Included with the tripod is a 1/4-20 thread universal camera screw built in as well as a 3/8-inch adapter screw for use with professional ball heads.

Priced at $149.95 (around £75), Joby's new Gorillapod Focus is to be released in the States shortly - all the UK details when we have them.
