Pentax has announced the AF160FC dedicated auto macro flash for use with Pentax DSLR cameras.

The new flash unit utilises the automatic exposure-control system of Pentax DSLRs and has been specifically designed to help with close-up shots.

It weighs in at just over 400g, and features P-TTL auto flash system that helps ensure correct exposure levels at all times. At ISO 100/m, it has a maximum guide number of 16 and features a single control dial on the back to make changes to the flash mode and adjustments to discharge levels easily.

There are also a number of advanced flash applications, including contrast-control auto flash and independent switching between two flash bulbs.

No price has been announced as yet, but we'll get it to you when we have it.
