Panasonic has said that it is gearing up to unveil a new DSLR camera next week.

The camera, which will be added to Panasonic's Lumix range, will follow on from the DMC-L10 and revealed at a news conference in Tokyo on September 12th.

Panasonic has said the new camera "offers unique features to set a new trend in digital SLR photography" kept any other details firmly under wraps.

This new camera will become the third Lumix DSLR, following the DMC-L10's launch at Photokina in September last year. This new model will no doubt be a main feature of Panasonic's Photokina line-up this year too.

Stay tuned for more information on September 12th.
