Adobe to announce CS4 on September 23rd

But release date still unknown

Adobe has said that it will be officially announcing the fourth version of its Creative Suite software September 23rd.

Platform Evangelist at Adobe Lee Brimelow updated his blog with the information, stressing that this date was not the release date but the "official unveiling" of the software.

A special web broadcast will be take place on the 23rd which Adobe fans can sign up for to get all the information. As for now, Adobe's lips are sealed as to what we can expect for CS4, with Lee simply saying: "Get plenty of sleep now as you will have more new toys than you’ll know what to do with very soon."

Perhaps we'll get a public beta version like we did before the big launch of CS3 last year, but who knows. What's for sure is you know you've got something big on your hands when you get to announce an announcement.
