Nikon to hold press conference on August 27th

Is this the official D90 announcement?

According to information by Nikon mega-source, Thom Hogan, Nikon has set the date for its next press conference on August 27th.

He reckons that this is going to be the date the eagerly anticipated D90, as well as perhaps a couple of lenses, are officially announced.

He was quick to put an end to "unrealistic ideas" that a long list of lenses and even a few cameras would be announced. He believes we'll get the D90 announcement and possibly news on the updated D3, but that will be our lot.

Quite frankly we're just looking forward to the end of all the is-it-isn't-it D90 rumours and actually getting our hands on it, so even if that's all they've got planned to announce on August 27th, we'll be happy bunnies.
