Transcend has announced its new 7-inch T.photo 720 digital photo frame.

The frame boasts a high resolution (800x480) TFT panel and 2GB of internal memory. Its design means it can stand on a desk or be mounted on a wall depending on your preference and its pretty easy to use too with menu buttons directly under the main display.

The T.photo 720 supports the most popular image formats, and is also equipped with several advanced new features. These include the unique MyShow customer slideshow creator, Automatic Orientation Sensor (AOS) for landscape or portrait viewing and NaturaTone intelligent skin color enhancement that guarantees exceptional image display quality.

Additionally, the T.photo can be used as a desktop clock/calendar, clock/radio, or alarm clock. The on-screen calendar allows users to mark important days with alarm reminders, and for extra convenience, the T.photo also lets users set custom MP3 or FM radio daily alarms for waking up to their favorite song or radio station in the morning.

You can use pretty much any type of digital camera memory card available, and there's even a new MobileCard slot that has been included for adapter-free input of M2 or MicroSD cards

On top of that, the T.photo’s built-in USB host connector also allows users to plug-in USB flash drives, which will promptly be searched to find and playback all music, pictures and video clips available on your flash drive.

Finally, there is a remote included so you can control the frame from a distance, switching it on to video mode or on MP3s for example.

Currently, there's no details on pricing or release dates but we'll keep you updated with anything we hear.
