An updated version of photo editing software, Portrait Professional Studio has been released and promises a number of improvements on the previous release.

Firstly, version 8 adds native support for Mac users as well as Windows which opens the software up to a whole range of new users.

A number of features have been tweaked too, so you can now smooth, recolour and thicken the hair, control the eyes and mouth in greater detail and change eye colour. You can also save and use multiple changes at once with Saved Slider configurations.

Users working with calibrated colour will notice improved colour management, and there have also been improvements made to the user interfact in general.

Portrait Professional Studio Version 8 is $119.95 (about £60) for new users, or those upgrading from Portrait Professional Max will only have o pay $39.95 (about £20).

There is a free trial version available for download from the Portrait Professional website so you can give it a go before you buy.
