Samsung releases firmware update for GX20

Reduces noise on the two second timer

23 July 2008 18:47 GMT / By Verity Burns

Samsung have released a firmware update for its 14 megapixel GX20 DSLR camera.

Version 1.01 should minimise image noise when using the two second timer.

As with all firmware upgrades, make sure the batteries are fully charged or the camera is plugged into the mains - if they camera runs out of battery half way through, the mainboard may get seriously damaged.

All the details on how to install the update are on the Samsung website in handy diagrams, which makes it easier if you've never done an upgrade before. If you're a seasoned pro though, try and do it with your eyes closed. Go on, we dare you.
