Canon voted most trusted camera brand in Europe

Reader's Digest readers make their choice

Reader’s Digest readers have voted Canon the most trusted camera brand in Europe for 2008, as part of the magazine's annual Trusted Brands Survey.

The prestigious survey has been running for eight years and is one of the biggest and widest ranging consumer surveys in Europe.

Respondents were selected from Reader’s Digest customer database of 4.5 million homes over 16 European countries.

Twenty product groups were included in the survey, with the answer being left open-ended allowing local and global brands to have an equal chance of being selected.

The main purpose of the survey was to identify which brands European’s trust the most in a range of consumer product categories and to investigate what trust means in terms of brand choice.

Over 23,000 questionnaires were analysed across all countries, with Canon coming up as favourites in the camera category.
