Praktica releases new DCZ 8.2 camera

A great entry level camera for the snap happy

12 May 2008 12:20 GMT / By Verity Burns

Pentacon has released a new entry level camera in the shape of the eight megapixel Praktica DCZ 8.2.

The new addition features a 3x optical zoom lens with 5x digital, and a 2.4 inch LCD monitor - somewhat smaller than the monitor of its predecessor, the Praktica model DCZ 8.1.

However, the model is smaller on the whole, so that may be the reason behind it.

Other features of the 8.2 model include direct print, digital antishake, face tracing and video with sound. There is a 16MB built-in memory, and it's compatible with SD or SDHC cards.

No prices or release dates just yet but we'll keep you updated.
