GE improves UK customer services

Joins up with external company to speed things up

General Imaging Europe Ltd has joined forces with JP Service Solutions (JPSS) to provide improved customer services and after sales care for GE digital cameras.

JPSS, the technical division of Johnsons Photopia Ltd, will handle all customer service enquiries, and also deal with any technical problems with the cameras.

The process appears pretty simple. If you're having a problem with your camera, you will be able to have direct access to technicians through a dedicated helpline and email address, rather than faults being dealt with initially by retailers. Should the technician determine that there may be a fault with the camera, pre-paid packaging will be immediately sent out to you so it can be returned and inspected.

Once this is finished, if a genuine manufacturer's fault is identified, a replacement will be sent out the same day. Speedy stuff.

General Imaging hopes this will improve upon the current system and ensure customers are happy with the service they receive from start to finish.

Gary Sutton, UK country manager of General Imaging, said: "We know it is disappointing when a product fails but with JPSS's support we are able to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently".

"We believe we will be offering the quickest turnaround time in the industry."
