Gitzo is celebrating its 90th anniversary by releasing a limited edition GT90TT titanium tripod.

The tripod is priced £1500.

It uses the Gitzo G-Lock system which uses a twist-lock idea, "making it substantially faster, stronger and more rigid than ever before", claims the manufacturer.

The cone-shaped ramp and locking ring are used to create a gravity locking effect – the higher the load applied vertically to the system, the stronger the locking effect.

The limited edition tripod also follows other top-end models in Gitzo's range by using the Carbon Safelock feature which is designed to cut vibrations and improve tripod-to-head lock.

The 390 GT90TT will be available in the UK through distributor, Bogen Imaging, while stocks last.
