Canon raises £27,000 for British Red Cross

Through agreement with Tesco

For every red Canon digital PowerShot A460 digital compact sold in Tesco stores, Canon donated £5 to the British Red Cross.

And the total fund has now reached £27,205.

Tesco managed to sell more than 5000 of the cameras, and Canon donated each time.

Tesco has now raised £2 million for The British Red Cross to fund crisis care in local neighbourhoods across the UK.

Thye charity is to be the supermarket chain's focus all year.

All the money raised through the partnership will be locally spent on first aid training, emergency equipment - ranging from wheelchairs to ambulances - and care in the home services.
