Two new lenses will soon to available for Leica, Panasonic and Olympus FourThirds DSLR owners.First up is the £369.99 Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM, which is a super wide-angle zoom lens designed exclusively for DSLRs.
Claimed to be a powerful tool for both indoor and landscape photography, the lens delivers a wide angle of view (94.5°at 10mm on FourThirds cameras).
This lens is equipped with an inner focusing system and HSM design for high speed autofocus but full time manual focusing is also available.
It has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm at all focal lengths.
Sigma adds that this lens is constructed from 14 elements in 10 groups and within this, three SLD glass elements are employed to compensate for colour aberration.
Also - one moulded glass element and two hybrid aspherical lenses correct distortion, as well as all types of aberration.
Next up is the 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG HSM, which is a large aperture zoom lens with a minimum focusing distance of 100cm and maximum magnification ration of 1:3.5.
Its design includes two SLD and three ELD glass elements, and a super multi-layer coating, which reduces flare and ghosting.
Also- the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures quiet, high speed autofocus.
Sigma adds that a full time manual focusing APO Tele Converter is available.
The lens design incorporates an inner focusing and inner zooming systems, which means that the overall length of the lens does not change during focusing and zooming.
A removable tripod collar is included as a standard component.
The 70-200mm lens is priced £799.99 and both lenses will arrive in April.
