Budget ringflash converter from Bowens

Priced at around £294, the new Ringlite Converter from Bowens offers a new dimension to flash photography.

The converter fits on an standard Bowens flashhead delivering "ringflash-style" lighting. The manufacturer adds that this includes older Bowens kit as the converter comes with an S-type adapter.

A Bowens spokesperson commented: "This creates a softer, wholesome surrounding light around the lens which reduces shadows. It can also create shadowing around the outline of the subject so users can work with a specific photographic effect."

It is claimed to compatible with all DSLRs. Spec-wise it is 35cm in height, 22cm wide and weighs 1.45kg, including its stand bracket.

It is available now from dealers nationwide.
