Our trick always used to be slipping the knife in the toast to heat it up, others prefer to dip theirs in the tea, but a UK company is promising the ultimate gadget for making sure your butter is spreadable in the morning.

That's right, it's the world's first and only Temperature Controlled Butter Dish
Called ButterWizard, the device will both heat and cool regardless of ambient temperature, ensuring your butter stays at the perfect temperature for spreading - anytime, anywhere.

Coming with a rechargeable battery and the promise of a 2-hour battery life away from its base station, the base unit also has an adjustable thermostat to suit the texture of your chosen brand of butter, and any kind of bread, toast or biscuits you like.

The dish comes in the choice of three colours - Pastel Pink, Pastel Blue and Cream, and for once is only available in the UK.

It costs £34.99 plus postage.
