Four Thirds camera system gets dedicated user website

Fans of the Four Thirds Digital SLR format backed by Olympus, Panasonic Lumix, Sigma and Leica (Digilux) now a new online magazine to read.

Fourthirds-user.com will feature news, in-depth reviews, tutorials, a wiki-style interactive knowledge base and an integrated discussion forum and user photo gallery.
To celebrate the launch of the new site, Four Thirds User running a prize draw to give away an Olympus E-510 DSLR camera, the most recently introduced Four Thirds camera model.

Four Thirds User is run by photo journalist Ian Burley, the site although independent will have a close relationship with the manufactures who make cameras, lenses and system accessories for the camera system.

"We've received a lot of behind-the-scenes support and encouragement from the companies that form the Four Thirds consortium. I doubt we could have embarked on this project without that encouragement. It's going to be a lot of fun running FTU," said Burley.
