Works with the Alpha 100 and other DSLR models

Sony has announced a new flash Sync Terminal Adaptor for its Alpha100 DSLR camera.

The new FA-ST1AM Sync Terminal Adaptor connects the Alpha100 to the vast majority of pro studio and location flash systems.

Integrated in the adaptor is a protection circuit that protects the Alpha100 camera from the potential risk of high trigger voltage of external flash units and a PC terminal in the adapter links the camera with an external third party flash unit via a standard synch cable.

In addition to the DSLR camera’s built-in flash, the Alpha100 system includes two dedicated Alpha external flash guns, a twin macro flash kit and ring light for still lifes and other close-up subjects.

Of course the device will work with other models from other manufacturers.

The FA-ST1AM Sync Terminal Adapter will be available from July 2007.
