A month after the company announced its latest update to its imaging software, Nikon has announced the launch of its Capture NX1.1 software in Europe.

The new updated 1.1 version of this software, Nikon say is faster and more effective than its predecessor, enabling better workflow.

However news of the price is likely to outrage photographers looking to invest.

The software, which costs £119.99 is over twice the price of the US edition.

According to Nikon, the software makes it possible to manipulate images in, according to Nikon "a diversity of exciting and innovative ways".

Current users of Capture NX can update their version for free. First-time users can access a free 30-day trial.
