JVC has announced that it is updating its hard disk based EVERIO camcorder range with the option to burn the footage you capture directly to a DVD burner so users don't need to use a PC to save their videos.Users will now be able to creates DVDs without a PC using a new JVC DVD burner or JVC-recommended burners from other manufacturers. In addition, the transfer speed to PC has improved and is now 12x real time.
For 2006, JVC introduces one new 20GB model and two new 30GB models. The 20GB model, GZ-MG21, and the 30GB GZ-MG36 model feature a 1/6-inch 800,000-pixel CCD, 32x optical zoom, Auto Illumi. Light and capture 640 x 480 stills.
The 30GB GZ-MG77 offers a 1/3.9-inch, 2.2-megapixel CCD using 1440x810 pixel imaging for full resolution 16:9 shooting and recording including auto stabilisation. The camera provides a bright F1.2 lens, 10X optical zoom, auto flash and up to 1632 x 1224 stills. The GZ-MG36 and GZ-MG77 step-up models also feature a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD for real-time viewing of 16:9 aspect ratio video while shooting and all three new Everio G Series camcorders offer 16:9 recording.
All models also feature PictBridge compatibility for direct printing, SD card slot and USB mass storage compatibility. Operation has also been enhanced with a new four-way controller mounted on the outside edge of the LCD. Pressing the four “compass” points on the circular control operates menu settings, manual controls and playback control.
The top model GZ-MG77 offers built-in DVD burner control allowing it to be directly connected to the optional JVC DVD burner, the CU-VD10 SHARE STATION. The camcorder connects to the burner via a USB cable and the burner is easily controlled by the camcorder.
The Everio converts its .mod video files to DVD Video format so the SHARE STATION can create discs that play on most DVD players. Cameras, Video And Editing, Camcorders, JVC, Awards
