American artist John Mayer has launched an augmented reality music video to accompany the song Heartbreak Warfare.

As with similar PC-based augmented reality offerings fans hold an image - either as a print-out or on a mobile phone screen - up to a webcam which triggers the video to begin playing.

Hit play on the video above to see YouTube user Jeff Ramos' results from his viewing which demonstrates how moving the icon around moves the camera angle around the 3D set.
