Maybe it's just me, but I reckon these shots of the new Nasa spacecraft leaving the vehicle assembly plant are some of the most exciting I've seen in a while.

Bear with me.

I know nothing really happens, but this harks back to the heady days of Apollo and Sputnik: those tense moments when the space race was headline news across the globe. This is new, uncharted, dangerous stuff and I can't wait for lift-off.

Like I said: maybe it's just me...
