If you're still enjoying the wonders of a video home system (VHS) or digital versatile disk player (DVD) and are thinking of upgrading at some point, you might be interested to hear that Richer Sounds are selling a Blu-ray player (ehh, BRP?) for under £100.
Described as the "UK's first top brand Blu-ray player under £100", the LG BD350 will set you back £99.95.
There are no bells and whistles with this effort - no BD live or Ethernet connection - but it does the main job in that it'll enable you to play 1080p HD content. Connections include a HDMI output, Component and both optical and coaxial digital.
The other snag is that it's not available to order online, meaning you'll have to pop into your nearest shop, thankfully Richer Sounds has a store finder which will make the process a little less arduous.
