Nokia has confirmed the launch of its Booklet 3G netbook in the US on Tuesday.
"We are going to sell a lot of these", Nokia's US head honcho said at the New York launch event.
The mini-laptop, which we saw at Nokia World earlier in the year, as Nokia is pushing it, will be $299 with a 2-year contract, exclusive to Best Buy for "The Holidays". Users will then be expected to pay $60 a month for AT&T's 5GB plan, however, AT&T has confirmed there will be other plans available nearer Christmas.
Those looking to get the Nokia Booklet 3G without any on-going costs will be able to pay $599 without the AT&T data package.
Launching on 22 October in time for the Windows 7, specs include Windows 7, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 120GB hard disk, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi is n-compatible, a 720p screen, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and the promise of 12 hours of battery life, although Nokia failed to be able to clarify whether that 12 hours of battery was with Wi-Fi and 3G turned on.
