Daily Tech Deal: Asus Eee S101 netbook from Amazon

Money saving deals, offers and innovations

13 October 2009 13:00 GMT / By Ben Crompton

The blurb on the Amazon website describes the Asus Eee PC S101 as an "exquisitely designed netbook for fashion forward individuals who view style as much of a factor of success as substance".

However, if you are not one of those "fashion forward individuals" then it may interest you instead that they are selling the previously-priced £479 netbook for a rather more palatable £279.99.

This "ultra-portable" netbook gets a 10-inch screen with an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB hard drive. Battery life seems decent, giving you over 5 hours of use between refills, whilst the 4-in-1 card reader will help make sure all your data is backed up.

Connectivity is catered for with Bluetooth, 802.11 a/g/n along with three USB 2.0 ports, and a headphone port while you'll be using Windows XP Home Edition as your OS.

Amazon is also offering free delivery and we'll have another tech deal for you tomorrow.
