US cellphone users can finally snap up a HTC Hero on Sprint's network as the phone has officially gone on sale in the US.
The new handset, exclusive to Sprint, is a reworking of the European HTC Hero model, without the chin.
Offering a touchscreen interface, the Android OS, and a 5-megapixel camera, users wanting to get the new handset can do so via the company's website, giving them a call or by walking into a Sprint store and parting with $279.99 (you get $100 back after a mail-in rebate).
"For the non Apple or Palm believers, this is one to strongly consider", we said in a recent review giving the handset 9/10.
