Google has announced a new way to keep its Maps up to date with the introduction of the "report a problem" functionality.

Google Maps users can now highlight changes to their neighbourhoods ("after all, the best expert on where you live is you") and Google will keep users informed as to the status of the amend.

In addition, changes to points of interest can be done directly by the user, with changes going live straight away. Hit play on the video above to see Google's official take on the matter.
