Sprint Samsung Moment savours Android OS

Sprint has launched yet another Android handset on its network in the US - this time the Samsung Moment.

The new Google OS powered handset will feature a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, come with the usual array of Google mobile services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube, as well as thousands of applications available in Android Market of course.

As with the company's range of Omnia handsets the "Moment" will get a 3.2-inch AMOLED touch-screen. It will be powered by an 800 MHz processor.

Other features include a 3.2 megapixel camera, Stereo Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Those keen to get the into the "Moment" (see what we did there) will be able to do so from the 1 November for $179.99. Keeping with previous handsets though, that price will only be achievable after a $50 instant saving and $100 mail-in-rebate.
