Twitter aids weight loss

Tweet What You Eat app shames Twitterers into eating less

The latest fad in the world of weight loss is Twitter-based, as an app that's designed to work with the micro-blogging site is making headline news.

Tweet What You Eat is an online food diary that integrates with Twitter, broadcasting to all what it is you've just stuffed into your mouth, on a real-time basis.

With the thinking behind it to shame people into eating less, or at least eating more healthily, it also offers info on food, including calorie counts.

If you thought that some folk's Twitter chat could not get any more dull, expect an explosion of "museli 340 calories" and "half a Milky Way 130 calories" soon as celebs are helping to promote the diet with Twitter-lover Stephen Fry said to have lost 6 stone in 6 months.
