It's not quite as swanky as the Pizza Hut iPhone app in the US, or even as easy as Domino's pizza by text service, but Papa John's has announced a version of its site optimised for mobile phones. With around 10% of online orders coming from mobile phones - despite this being via the full-fat site - Papa John's has now caught up and those visiting www.papajohns.co.uk from a mobile will automatically go to the simplified site.
Mobile phone users will be able to access full menus, pizza customisation and repeat orders, while the nearest store will automatically be suggested.
"This makes the mobile ordering site ideal for people who are in locations where it is hard to talk or they would prefer not to speak on the phone, whether it’s on the way home on a bus or train, or in the pub", says Papa John's.
