Acer has launched a Ferrari branded netbook called the Ferrari One hoping to appeal to racing fans on a budget.

Coming in the Ferrari racing red the model will feature a 11.6-inch high-definition 1366x768 pixel resolution, ultra-thin and light form factor, true-cinematic aspect ratio (16:9) Acer CineCrystal LED LCD display for true HD entertainment driven by VISION technology from AMD and support for simultaneous multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista.

According to Acer the Ferrari One speakers are specially engineered to optimize an enhanced audio quality thanks to some help from Dolby Laboratory. In reality that means you get Dolby Home Theater v3.

Rather that pack it with an Intel Atom processor, Acer has turned to AMD and its VISION technology, the AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor L310. Graphics come in the guise of the ATiRadeon HD 3200 Graphics card.

Elsewhere you'll get 4GB of DDR2 667MHZ system memory, 64bit Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 and 160GB hard drive. Wireless 802.11n, Bluetooth and a webcam complete the package.

Yours for £399.
