Hold onto your hats - the new Sony Ericsson Aino is now up for pre-order in the UK.

Mobile price comparison service Omio has the phone due for release on 5 October - a little earlier than the 7th we were expecting - and on Orange in the UK.

It seems to get the handset for free, you'll need to sign up for a 2-year deal at £25 per month with 400 minutes and unlimited texts, which does not seem as steep as it perhaps could be.

As many of you will know the Sony Ericsson Aino, with a 3-inch touchscreen, will be able to connect to the Sony PS3 as well as your PC. Other features include a 8.1-megapixel camera, and a GPS receiver.

Hit play on the video above to see a music-, rather than gaming-, themed promo for the phone. Is it us or are people in mobile phone ads getting younger?
