HTC Leo coming to O2 on 12 October?

O2 intranet suggests imminent launch

24 September 2009 17:58 GMT / By Duncan Geere

It looks like HTC's minimalistic Leo handset could be closer to being in our hands than originally thought. According to a source quoted by Engadget, O2's intranet is listing the phone in its future products list with a launch date of 12 October.

Although it's not carrying any XDA branding, which HTC handsets offered on O2 have been named in the past, that could mean that HTC has finally got enough weight through its Android handsets to resist the carrier rebranding that normally takes place.

As previously reported on Pocket-lint, the Leo, or HD2, has a massive 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 resolution, along with a speedy 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

We'll keep you updated of any news about the Leo's release, as we hear it.
