A tablet PC from Microsoft has apparently been revealed, pipping the much-rumoured, but not officially acknowledged Apple iTablet to the punch. The new tablet will be called the Courier, according to Gizmodo. Although not detailed in the site's story, insiders have told Pocket-lint that it is from a reputable source from somewhere "you wouldn't expect".
The new product will, according to Gizmodo, sport dual 7-inch screens that are multi-touch, and designed for writing, flicking and drawing with a stylus, in addition to fingers.
The screens are connected by a hinge with a home button. Wireless signal and battery life statuses are displayed along the rim of one of the screens.
On the back of the device is a camera, and Giz suggests the tablet could charge through an inductive pad, like the Palm Touchstone.
The Courier project is said to be headed up by Microsoft's head of experiences J Allard and is said to be in the "late prototype" stage of development.
Gizmodo promises more Courier news soon.
